Frequently Asked Questions
Parentaly is a comprehensive program offered as an employee benefit to support expecting and returning parents, as well as their managers, through the parental leave journey. Expecting parents have access to a structured career coaching program from pre-leave to return-to-work. Managers receive training and guidance on how to build an empathetic parental leave experience and tactical steps to take through each phase of the leave journey.
We partner with employers to offer Parentaly as a benefit to all employees within the organization. The coaching program for expecting and returning parents is designed for anyone taking parental leave - both birthing and non-birthing parents on all paths to parenthood, including adoption, surrogacy, and foster parenting. The manager trainings are open to all managers and strongly recommended for those with a direct report who is taking parental leave.
Research shows that a supportive parental leave policy without adequate programming to support the leave planning and return experience is not enough. You should invest in Parentaly to empower and retain expecting and returning parents as they embark on a major life transition, often at the peak of their careers. You should also invest in Parentaly to minimize risk of disruption to your business as a result of parental leave. We coach expecting parents and train their managers on how to design a seamless transition, both from a career and business continuity perspective.
While our programming is offered primarily in English, we are able to provide our coaching program and manager training across all time zones. Yes! We take confidentiality very seriously. All coaching sessions are entirely confidential in order to create a safe space for expecting and returning parents to discuss their aspirations, concerns, and challenges. The details of those sessions are not shared with the employer, but voluntary feedback may be shared in aggregate to demonstrate the effectiveness of the program. Most expecting and returning parents find it incredibly valuable to have the opportunity to confide in and seek guidance from a third-party expert focused on the parental leave experience.
